At the HS table to can get more information on Clusters and LTG’s and also sign up for the LTG Kickoff Retreat which, if you are in high school, you do not want to miss! September 12-13 – Cost $40 due September 9

This year’s Kickoff Retreat has a dual purpose. The first is that we really want you to come and check into LTGs and Clusters. Second, we want you to meet our PHENOMENAL new HS Director – Seth Hanson. He will be the featured speaker during our times together and is really eager to meet and hang out with everyone on the retreat. This is a great time to be with friends, connect with God, and kick the year off in a GREAT way! As you go over the registration form please note that the options for Saturday afternoon are not all set in stone, they are subject to change. We will try to accommodate the most popular options. Look here for the registration form. You can also get one at the church office or at the foyer table on Sunday, 8/31 or 9/7.

UV

The Bethel Worship Teams would like to encourage you to come to our first Unlimited Vertical (UV) event happening in the fellowship hall Saturday, Sept 6th at 6pm. This is a night of praise and worship with some of Bethels own worship leaders and worship teams, as well as worship leader guest Brandon Bee. You can expect an engaging time of worship, including some original worship music written by the team, and a chance to get to know some of the new folks on the worship team. This will be a benefit concert. All proceeds from the free will offering will go to help support the east Asia mission trip coming up in November. Don’t miss out, hope to see you there!

Dear Parent(s):

I wanted to take a moment to write you and let you know how excited I am that we have a chance to welcome your son or daughter into the High School Ministry as an incoming freshman! While changes are coming up for the leadership in the HS, rest assured we have plans to warmly welcome your son or daughter into Bethel’s High School Ministry.

Your son or daughter’s last event in MS will be Ignite on Sunday, June 29th. We’ll be celebrating the completion of their middle school years! Then, the first date your son or daughter should plan to attend a HS event is Sunday evening, July 13th (not the 6th due to the holiday weekend). This is a gathering we hold on a weekly basis called Intersect and will meet every Sunday in July and August (except 8/24). It lasts each night from 6:30-8:00p (though students often arrive early and stay afterwards to talk).

Enclosed in this letter is a brochure highlighting growth opportunities for your sons and daughters in the HS ministry. It describes the backbone of our ministry which is found in LTGs (Life Transformation Groups). You’ll also notice weekly gatherings called Clusters. Your students are welcome and encouraged to join any of our clusters starting in July! They will hear more about these at Intersect on Sunday nights. We are working with current HS students to ensure that every incoming freshman is invited into the HS via a phone call, so if your student does not receive a call by July 1 please let us know!

We have also planned activities to welcome our new freshmen during the summer. For the guys, there is a camp-out planned for July 17th-20th. This student-initiated and planned activity is a multi-day trip where fun, connections and memories will be highlighted. There will be an emphasis on LTGs and connecting incoming freshmen with current HS guys. Cost and Location are being nailed down at the time of this writing. For the girls, we are putting together a series of activities where they can connect with current HS girls. Please watch the bulletin for details!

Blessings on you,
